Chez Nous is a French term that indicates being at one's home. That home could be where you sleep every night or it could mean the country that you are a citizen of. The bottom line is that it is a term to show possession and loyalty … belonging … being included.
My intention with this site is to make you feel as welcome here as I would make you feel if you were sitting on my sofa or at my kitchen table. I hope you'll enjoy the recipes and stories connected to them, and that you'll feel so comfortable that you'll stop by often!
I'm a wife, mother, and grandmother who has always loved nurturing and feeding people. It fills my heart when the chairs around my table are filled with people enjoying food, laughter, and conversation. I was raised by Southern parents in Europe and as an adult have lived both in the South and in the Pacific Northwest. My taste in food has been influenced heavily by all three places and my curiosity about foods and cultures leads me to experiment with many different cuisines.
Chez Nous, you'll find lots of "from scratch" recipes, new and old, from all different cultures … all delicious!
Bon Appetit!
